MINUTES OF SPECIAL VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29, 1970
The Village Council of the Village of St. Joseph met in special session on I
Thursday, Oct. 29, 1970 with the following members present: Mayor George
Gustin; Councilman, Herman Schneider, Roman Reber, Richard Schroeder; Treasurer
Bill Meinz and Clerk Bob Johnson,
Purpose: A prelimã.nary meeting to examine and discuss the village tax levy
for 1971:
The following levy increases were tentatively agreed upon:
Salaries ------------ $1800.00 Garage rental ----------- $150.00
4th Councilman ------ 480.00 Recreation -------------- 300.00
Insurance ----------- 217.00 Police car operation ---- 1200.00
PERA & OASDI -------- 200.00 Village audit ----------~ 400.00
Power & light ------- 500.00 Equip depreciation ------ 1000.00
Garbage collection -- 400.00
Fire protection ----- 300.00
Total General Revenue increase $6947.00
The Firemens Relief levy... increased to $610.00.
The change in term of bond issue for Water System Improvement No. 1970 from
20 to 14 years ~nll be determined at the next regular meeting
Motion to adjourn was made at 10:25 p.m.
