MINUTES OF REGtJiúAR·,V,ILMGETeOUNCIL MEETING HELD ON Thursday, 'Þlf'~~ J'Q, 1970
The Village Council of the Village of St. Joseph met in regular session on I
Thursday, Dec 10, 1970 with the following members present: Mäyor George Gustin;
Councilmen, Herma.n Schneider, Roman Reber, Dick Schroeder; Clerk Bob Johnson,
Attorney John Knapp.
Minù~es of Nov. meetings were approved on motion by Schroeder seconded by Schneider.
Motion carried.
Louie Krebsbach was present regarding hockey program - questioned use of figure
skates on rink.
Request for repair of 150 ft of hose by fire dept. made by Schroeder seconded by
Reber to approve request. Notion carried.
Liquor license survey examined and placed on file - further study to be made.
Mobile home water rates examined.
~vater connection and curb stop survey to be made next summer.
Council agreed to permit Maleska, McKenna area (Mrs. Oscar Krebsbach property)
use of village water for area skating rink.
Chief Lorent~" to report dog burning incident at village dump to Humane Society.
~ámfunation of police car rental lease held. Motion made by Reber seconded by I
Schroeder to accept lease proposal (with addition of 10~per mile over 12,000 miles)
Motion carried.
Motion was made by Schroeder seconded by Schneider to purchase Visa-bar - light
combination and decals for police car. Motion carried.
John Knapp report on assessment question - village could purchase entire issue
of $lhO,OOO -
Review of 1960 Sewer and 1965 Street assessments made.
Siren cable break reported at village hall project - engineer question!
Mobile home and trailer ordinance discussed - St. Cloud ordinance examined.
John Knapp to prepare ordinance - proposed ordinance to be submitted to planning
commission.
Motion made by Schneider seconded by Reber to approve the ,following beer and cig
amusement device licenses for 1971. l'1otion carried.
Rueben Wiener - Midway Bar - on a.nd off sale, cigarette, entertainment device (1)
Drake and Eric Dierkhising - La Playette - on and off sale, cigarette, entertåilln-
ment (1), amusement devices (2).
VFW Club - Club on and off ~sale, cigarette, entertainment device(l).
Legion Club - Club on and off sale, amusement device (1) I
Salls Cafe - On and off sale, cigarette, entertainment devices (2) amusement (2)
Graffiti, Inc. - On sale, entertainment device (1).
Cigarette licenses onJy: Stueve Garage, Linnemann Store, Loso Store, Meat Mkt,
Pflueger Store, Notch Pure Oil, Frisky Baits.

Present bond issue rates examined. Average interest rate to be determined.
I Bonds for 1970 water system improvement project to be purchased from local
bank.
Motion made by Schneider seconded by Schroeder to purchase adding machine
for clerk's dept. Hotion carried.
Bills presented - Baggenstoss alley job statement tabled - street commissioner
to examine work and discuss cost with Baggenstoss - to notify clerk when
payment approved.
Hotion made by Reber seconded by Schroeder to pay bills as presented. Motion
carried,
Purchase of case of oil and truck batteries approved.
Council requested Claude !c1enzhuber appear in regards snov¡ mobile club operation
in Marine building lòcated on Mem~huber property.
Motion made to adjourn at 11:45 p.m.
