VILLAGE OF ST. JOSEPH
MINUTES OF SPECIAL VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 16, 1970
I The Village Council of the Village of St. Joseph met in special session on
Monday, Feb. 16, 1000 with the following members present: George Gustin,
Herman Schneider, Dick Schroeder, Bob Johnson and Attorney John Knapp. Absent
Roman Reber. Also present was Alcuin Ringsmuth, Mayor of Waite Park, repre-
senting the Metropolitan Planning Commission. Village Planning Commission
memberw in attendance were: Chairman Mrs. Robert Kelly, Ben Kremer and Al
Maleska.
The meeting was opened by Mayor Gustin and turned over to Mr. Ringsmuth who
began by presenting the background and history of Metro Planning Commission.
Charter members were St. Cloud, St. Cloud Township, Sauk Rapids and Waite Park.
Le Sauk and Sauk Rapids Township are also members. A membership fee of $200.00
per year is assessed all members. Additional assessment of members would be
on a proportionate population basis.
A copy of agreement, listing the puwers and authority of commission and rules
of membership, was submitted by Ringsmuth and placed on file.
RiAgsmuth indicated he would suggest an invitation for membership be extended
to St. Jeseph at the next commission meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
