VILLAGE OF ST. JOSEPH
MINUTES OR REGULAR VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON MARCH 5, 1970
The Village Council of the Village of St. Joseph met in regular session on I
Thursday, March 5, 1970 with the following members present: Mayor George Gustin;
Councilmen Roman Reber, Herman Schneider, Richard Schroeder; Attorney John
Knapp. (absent Bob Johnson, clerk, due to illness). Councilman Schroeder re-
corded the minutes in the absence of the clerk.
Mrs. Robert Kelly, Planning Commission chairman, presented report of Metro
Area Sewer Committee dated Feb. 20, 1970.
Mr. Knapp contacted Mr. Wonguist, FHA who indicated that the Stearns County
study would not benefit St. Joseph since it is a only a study of needs. The
St. Cloud study will be much more comprehensive than the Stearns County Study.
Mr. Wonquist indicated they have not determined whether or not St. Joseph is
to be included in the county study but the planner will probably recommend that
St. Joseph be included in the St. Cloud area.
Mrs. Kelly presented a copy of Proposed Scope of the: MetropolitannArea Sewer
Study, preliminary draft copy, March 5, 1970 for Village of St. Joseph file.
Motion by Schnieder, second by Reber for Village of St. Joseph to absorb
attorney fee, on a per captia basis, to draw up agreement for preliminary plans
of Metro Area Sewer Study.
Mr. Gustin instructed Mr. Knapp write the Stearns Coÿnt~ Register of Deeds to
inform him to enforce the Sub-Division Regulation Ordinance of the Village of
St. Joseph on file in his office. I
Rep. of Milner-Carley present to discuss proposed addition to the Village hall
at St. Joseph. Mayor Gustin suggested the village council convene a special
meeting to discuss possible modifications of present drawings.
Moved by Schneider seconded Reber to grant village maintamnance employees 10%
~ increase of present grass salary effective March 1, 1970 to Feb. 28, 1971.
Henceforth the three village employees aggeements to be negotiated at the annual
village March meeting.
Moved by Reber seconded by Schneider to accept Don Post as a member of St.
Joseph Fire Depart~.
Moved by Reber seconded by Schneider to pay bills as presented.
Motion to adjourn 10:50 p.m.
