JOSEPH MINUTES OF SPECIAL VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 14, 1973 The Village Council met in special session on Wednesday, March 14, 1973 with the foll- owing members present: Mayor George Gustin; Councilmen, Herman Schneider, Roman I Reber, Bud Reber, Hugo Weyrens; Clerk Bob Johnson. Also present were: Police Chief Bill Lorentz; Leroy Rebescki who presented the following petitions for council consideration 1 ) to vacate Ohio Street and alley lying northeasterly of Lots 1 and 2 Loso's 7th Addn. 2) Petition for water main extension - signed by Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Bechtold and Manor Enterprises Inc. by LeRoy Rebescki - owners, includes lots 1 throught 8. Tony Albman, lot 3 - 4 has not signed petition. Herman Schneider to submit petition to village attorney for preparation and ex- ecution. Motion carried. Question of vacated land purchase by Rebescki. Rebescki to request planning commission change their reg. meeting to April 3 for variance hearing. Motion made by Bud Reber seconded by Hugo Weyrens to delete paragraph number one (1) from Township fire contracts. Motion carried. Salary question: Question of paid holidays increase from 7 to 9. Motion made by Herman Schneider seconded by Hugo Weyrens to approve additional two holidays off for employees effective March 1, 1973. Motion made by Bud Reber seconded by Hugo Weyrens to grant maintenance employees I John Kierzek and Dick Taufen the following pay increase effective March 1, 1973, $40.00 per month. Motion carried. Motion made by Hugo Weyrens seconded by Herman Schneider to approve Bill Lorentz salary increase to $820.00 per month plus $5.00 increase in clothing allowance. Motion carried. / vJ' Motion made by Herman Schneider seconded by Huto to approve appointment of Ida Mae Johnson as asst. clerk at $150.00 per month salary. Motion carried. Motion made by Bud Reber seconded by Herman Schneider to pay office rental and operation fee of $150.00 permonth for clerk's dept. Motion carried. Attorney to check Waite Park Ordinance on council reimbursement for attendance at extra meetings. Ball park repairs discussed and examined. Backstop, fences, bleachers under consideration. Motion made by Roman Reber seconded by Hugo Weyrens to approve salary of $5.00 per meeting attended for Planning Commission members. Motion carried.
