VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON MONDAY, MARCH 26, 1973 Village Council of the Village of St. Joseph met in special session on Monday, March 26, 1973 with the following members present: Mayor Gustin; Councilmen, Her- I man Schneider, Roman Reber, Bud Reber, Ruga Weyrens; Clerk Bob Johnson; Att~ John Knapp; Engineer Joe Bettendorf. Also present were Wally Honer and son Attorney Dan Eller. Purpose of meeting: street surfacing in Eastern Park addition. Request to surface street by street presented; no objections voiced on the street by street basis. Discussion of border street abutting south end lots surfacing question - assessment question if south street is surfaced at a later date. Motion made by Hugo Weyrens seconded by Roman Reber to hold public hearing for Eastern Park street surfacing (and portions connecting to Eastern Park surfacing) on Tuesday, May 1, 1973 at 8 p.m. Motion passed. Engineer to prepare cost estimate - May 2 project start anticipated. South street to be surfaced by Honer as final project item for Eastern Park street surfacing. Scherer - Flueger property damage reported by contractor. Moliter pumping water for lift station installation reported cause of ~aiñ~~ damage. Engineer to prepare estimate of cost for Park Terrace street re-surfacing and possible widening. Dump open 3-7 p.m. Wed., 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, starting March 28. MotioIll1:made by Bud Reber seconded by Hugo Weyrens to approve final payment of park land purchase from St. Benedicts upon receipt of $1258.32 check from Park Fund I finance chairman John Schroeder.
