JOSEPH MINUTES OF SPECIAL VILJ~GE COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON WEDlÅ’SDAY, JUNE 13, 1973 The Village Council of the Village of St. Joseph met L~ special session on Wednesday, June 13, 1973 at 7:30 p.m. with the following members present: Mayor George Fustin'lI Councilmen, Herman Schneider, Roman Reber, Bud Reber, Hugo Weyrens; Clerk Bob Johnson; Attorney John Knapp. Also present were approxmately 20 - 25 residents of Park Terrace Ad~~. Purpose of meeting: to discuss street repair or improvement with area residents. The preliminary estimates prepared by engineer were examined and reviewed. Past assessment policies of 10% frontage 90% ~ea were also examined. A suggestion for further study and evaluation of project vdth regular street maintenance repair at 'this time, received a large margin in a show of hands vote. A recommend!3-1iBr for a study of storm sewer needs was also presented. Meeting with residents~at 8:15 p.m. Council continued to conduct other business at S:20 p.m.' A motion was made by Roman Reber secnnded by Bud Reber to approve the atten~ce of John Kierzek and Dick Taufen at a water - sewer school in Holdingford on June 27, 1973. The school is being conducted by the Feed-Rite Co. Motion passed. Attorney John ~~app presented information relating to Water Main Improvement to Loso's 7th Addn. Additional information to be relayed to Manor Enterprises, Inc. Mutual fire agreements question presented copies to be made copy to fire dept. Minutes of May meetings read and approved as presented. Motion was made by Roman Reber to keep Old Hwy 52 open as an access to Hwy 52. I Mayor Gustin vacated chair to second motion. Voting for motion: Gustin, Roman Reber, Herman Schneider, Hugo Weyrens. Voting against motion: Bud Reber - Motion carried. Motion was made by Roman Reber seconded by Hugo Weyrens to purchase steel accessory b~ilding size 10 x 10 - $119.95. Motion carried. Motion madê by Herman Schneider seconded by Hugo Weyrens to hire 2 teenagers at .~~ time for a 2 week period of village employment. Start next Monday June IS. Dick Taufen supervisor ~~en needed.
