MINUTES OF SPECIAL VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 24, 1973
Meeting called~ order by Acting Mayor Herman Schneider at 6:30 p.m. Members
present Herman Schneider, Roman Reber, Bud Reber, Hugo Weyrens, Leo Sadlo and
John Knapp, village attorney. I
Reason for meeting , council salary increases.
Proposed by Hugo Weyrens the following increases $75.00 for Mayor, $65.00 for
councilman. Reason that by Jan 1, 1974 our village should go to 2 meetings a month,
there will be more things for our village to get involved in extra meetings account
of Metro and Region 7 govt. After some discussion and viewing villages around our
area, the following was passed. Mayor from $0.00 to $90.00, Councilman from
$40.00 to $65.00, treasurer from $40.00 to $65.00. Da:ytfume meetings to other towns
or what may come up $35.00. Extra evening meetings out of town $10.00.
Motion by Bud Reber seconded by Hugo Weyrens to have John Knapp to draw up ordinance
on day time meetings and evening meetings. Motion carried.
Motion to adjourn by Roman Reber seconded by Bud Reber at 7:15 p.m. Motion carried
