VILLAGE OF ST. JOSEPH
MINUTES OF SPECIAL VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY DECEMBER 27, 1973
The Village Council of the Village of St. Joseph met in special session on Thursday,
December 27, 1973 with the following members present: Acting Mayor Herman Schneider; I
Councilmen, Roman Reber, Bud Reber, Hugo Weyreris, Clerk Bob Johnson. Aslo present
were: Mayor elect Harry J. Knevel, Fire Chief Mike Loso, Bill Wasner, Del Terwey
St. Joseph Township supervisor was present and suggested a joint meeting for 7:30
p.m. on Jan. 16, 197~ at Village Hall relating to zoning, area growth problems etc.
Fire Protection operation proposal examined changes suggested.
Census question examined -~ a state census was po~oned until further information
can be obtained.
Clerk to provide new copies of fire proposal.
Motion made by Bud Reber seconded by Hugo Weyrens to approve the following beer and
cig licenses for 1974: El Paso Club, Inc. Midway Bar (Rueben Wiener), La Playette,
(Eric Dierkhising), Graffiti - Howard Zimmer; American Legion Post; VFW Post,
Salls Cafe, Frisky Bait, Cig only, Notch 76, College of st. Benedicts, Kays Cafe,
Stueve Garage, St. Joseph Meat Mkt., Linnemann Store, Loso Store.
