CITY OF ST. JOSEPH, MINNESOTA
MINUTES OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30, 1975
The City Council df the City of St. Josep4 met in special session on Wednesday,
April 30, 1975, with the follo.ving members present: Mayor, Harry J. Knevelj
Councilmen, Herman Schne~der, Bud Reber, Hugo Weyrens: Attorney, John Knapp.
Absent: Steve Dehler.
A motio~ was made by Herman Schneider, seconded by Hugo Weyrens, to approve
election canvass and results as presented and attested by election Judges:
Irene Rassier, Rose Marion Schneider, Ann Zwach and clerk Bob Johnson.
Special election question: : " Shall City be authorized to j¡ssue General
Obligation Bonds in the amount of $62,000 for City Hall renovation.?"
Total vote: 218 --- voting yes - 50 --- voting no - 168. The bond issue
was thereby defeated.
A motion was made by Hugo Weyrens, seconded by Herman Schneider, to appoint
Bud Reber to the position of - City Space Project Director. Motion carried.
4ttorney John Knapp to notify Clerk of meeting date change or verification
to be held with st. Joseph Township officials relating to annexation. The
meeting has been tentatively scheduled for May 12, 1975 at 8 p.m.
Council agreed City will approve condemnation in Hollow Park sewer project
easement question if contractor or developer assumes total cost.
A motion to adjourn was made at 10:40 p.m.
