CITY OF ST. JOSEPH, MINNESOTA
MINUTES OF SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 23, 1975
The City Council of the City of St. Joseph met in special session on Thursday,
October 23, 1975 with the following members present: Councilman Herman Schneider,
Hugo Weyrens, Bud Reber, Steve Dehler; Clerk Bob Johnson; Attorney John Knapp.
Absent were: Mayor Knevel (out of city).
Herman Schneider,_Acting Mayor, opened meeting at 7 p.m.
A motion was made by Hugo Weyrens seconded by Steve Dehler to approve the follow-
ing minutes: Aug 28, Sept 4, Sept 18, Sept 25, Oct 2 and Oct 7, 1975. Motion
carried.
Mike Loso, Fire Chief, presented a fire dept. report. State fire code information -
budget request forms were submitted for 1976.
Police Chief Lorentz presented a police report for the month of September.
Motion made by Hugo Weyrens seconded by Bud Reber to approve attendance of
clerk at Hud Workshop at Brainerd on Friday Oct 24,. Motion carried.
A motion made by Bud Reber seconded by Steve Dehler to approve clerk and assessor
attendance at St. Benedicts workshop on Oct 28, 29, 30. Motion carried.
Council discussed Recreational Association revival plans. Possibilities :St ,FòR..
reorganization reportedly being explored by J.C.'s. Council favors Recreational
Association operating entire city recreation program.
Dick Taufen presented a maintenance report - hydrant at Gretsch corner - pump
electrical problem cited - warming house condition at Ball Park examined -
snow plowing methods discussed. Hockey and skating rink operations examined.
Plant (wastewater) problems re-examined.
Motion made to adjourn at 11:05 p.m. ¿b!~
