Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council for the City of St. JÖseph met in special
session on Thursday, June 10, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. in the S1. Joseph City Hall.

Members Present:' Mayor Kenneth J. Hiemenz. Councilors Ken Twit, Bob loso, Mary
Niedenfuer, Cory Ehlert. Dêþuty Clerk Judy Weyrens.

Others Present: Jim Brimeyer.
The purpose of the meeting was to review candidate profiles for the position of City
Clerk/Administrator. Brimeyer Executive Search presented the Council witl1 profiles of nine
candidates. Jim Brimeyer stated that he received 35 resumes for consideràtion and narrowed the
candidates to nine that matched the profile approved by the Council.
After review of each profile, the Council agreed to interview the following candidates:

Brimeyer also discussed with the Council the compensation issues and agreed to the following

11 :30 - 12:30 p.m. lunch with Civic representatives
12:30 - 1 :00 p.m. City Council meets with Brimeyer
1:00 p.m. Interviews begin
The Council agreed that before the position of Clerk/Administrator is filled, a Job description
needs to be established as well as an organizational chart for the City of St. Joseph. The
Council further agreed that all the department heads will be responsible to the
Clerk/Administrator. Hiemenz stated that the league of Minnesota Cities Manual includes
sample organizational charts. The Council requested to receive copies of such and will discuss
this matter at a later meeting.

Adioum: loso made a motion to adJoum at 10:15 p.m.; seconded by Niedenfuer and passed
unanimously.
