AGENDA ITEM: State Fire Chiefs Convention
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: In the past, the Fire Board has approved to send the Fire Chief and the
Assistant to the State Fire Chief's Convention. I believe this is a very useful tool for the department as it
allows us to learn new ways to fight fires and ways to help departments run better. This year the
conference is in Duluth, October 21St-24th
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: Convention class ($490.00 for 2), hotel, per-diem, meals, and mileage.
ATTACHMENTS: No
REQUESTED ACTION: Have the Fire Board approve the Chief and Assistant attend the convention.
