AGENDA ITEM: Surplus Property—Requested Action: Declare the 1995 Fire
Helmets a surplus with no value, authorizing disposal.

BOARD/COMMISSION/COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: The Fire Board is
recommending disposal of the 1995 Fire Helmets that no longer meet safety standards.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Fire Board approved the replacement of the 1995 Helmets
as they did not meet the NFPA Standards. The helmets would be taken to salvage yard for disposal as
they have no value.
