Grant Amendment – : Authorize the Mayor
and Administrator to execute an amendment to the DEED Housing Grant extending the grant period one
year to December 31, 2016.

PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
The City was awarded a Housing Rehab Grant in 2014 in the
amount of $ 600,000. The grant expires December 31, 2015 and any unused funds are forfeited back to
the awarding agency – DEED.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The grant received by the City is administered by the Central
MN Housing Partnership. Currently the funds remaining are approximately $ 150,000. On behalf of the
City, the Central MN Housing Partnership, on behalf of the City applied to DEED for an extension of one
year to use the additional funds. The request has been granted by DEED to extend the grant period to
December 31, 2016.
