Sharon Rennie,Troy Goracke,Matt Killam(Councilor Liaison),Terry Thene(Staff Liaison)

Aaproval of Minutes: Approved
Annroval of Agenda: Approved
Liaison Reaorts.
Matt Killam:
The Council approved the Jasmine Lane extension.The request for a Millstream Master Plan was
not approved.The Council would like specific ideas and consideration of needs of the Rec.
Program.
Terrv Thene•
All parks have been winterized. Shelters are closed and minor repairs(bad valves)at Wobegon
site are complete.
Old Business•
A. Do�Park Site
Troy made a motion to discuss the top three sites considered.Jodi seconded.John said we
have done due diligence on this discussion.At a vote of 2-yes,3-no,the motion failed.
Andrew made a motion to recommend the Drainage Easement as a site for the Dog Park.
Sharon seconded.Troy wanted the group to reconsider using Millstream as a site for the
Dog Pa.rk by removing the camp ground.The motion to recommend the Drainage �
Easement for the Dog Park carried.The Board will recommend that the Drainage
Easement be used for a Dog Park to the Council.
B. Foot Golf
Currently there are seven donations amounting to$1300 in the fund.Matt spoke to
Scheels to acquire equipment.This conversation is ongoing.Matt also obta.ined three
"under counter"safes(they need some refurbishing)at no cost. One could be used for
donations at the Foot Golf location.
C. Klinefelter natural Flora Preservation
The weeds have been sprayed.Depending on how that"takes"and based on conditions,a
burn could happen this fall.Otherwise the burn will happen in the spring.
D. Other Oid Business:

New Business•
A. Brainstormias ana Futare for Millstream Park �
John informed the group tha.t the Mayor has suggested locating the Water Park at
Millstream.He's suggesting we consider a place to designate for that purpose there.
Discussion about Millstream Park usage included:
*Frisbee Golf,which is heavily used,would be disturbed by locating the Water Park
there.
*Concerns about location of parking for a Water park was mentioned.

*Would the location of a new shelter be changed?
*How would this affect the use of Adult Softball?
*How do we provide for Youth Activities?
*Could there be a place for Sand Volleyball?
*How can we improve the Campground usage?If it is kept,perhaps a"Campground
Host"could keep it monitored or cameras could be installed.
After discussion,the Board was not comfortable with making a recommendation to the
Council.It will be discussed further and more ideas will be entertained.
It was decided that a special meeting will be held on Tuesday,November 17�'to further
brainstorm ideas for Millstream Park.
