Home My WebLink About[11a] Mayor appointments s Council Agenda Item 11a MEETING DATE: February 1, 2016 AGENDA ITEM: 2016 Mayor Appointments SUBMITTED BY: Mayor Schultz BOARD/COMMISSION/COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Annually the Mayor submits for ratification the appointments for the coming year. The appointments designate representatives to various Boards and Commission. Please note that the Health Board is let blank. In doing some research the City does not have to have a separate Board. We currently refer matters to Stearns County if needed. Staff will work on an Ordinance Amendment to remove the provision. The City of Sartell is going through the same process at this time. The appointment for acting Mayor should be a separate action as the Council must go through a nomination process and then vote from the nominations. This process should be completed after the ratification of the appointments.
