PREVIOUS PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION:
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Staff is starting to look at some Ordinances that may need
amendment. One of the discussion items is bonus rooms in patio homes. Currently the Ordinance does
not allow for storage space in the unoccupied garage. People have requested to utilize this space for
storage often referred to as a bonus room. There are also some clean up items in the Zoning Ordinance
such as removing the sign provisions from each individual zoning district. When the sign ordinance was
created it was intended to remove those provisions. Since they are located in the land use section, they
can only be amended through the hearing process. Therefore, if anyone has some changes they would
like to discuss the process can be started.
