PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Council authorized acceptance of grant funding from the Office of
Traffic and Safety to purchase four new squad car computers.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: As part of the grant acceptance process, a resolution needs to
be approved by the City Council and executed by the Mayor and Police Chief.The resolution serves two
purposes. It assures that the Council supports participating in the proposed project and it states whi is
authorized to sign the grant.

REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Authorize the Mayor and Police Chief to execute Resolution
2016-005 Authorizing Execution of Agreement with the MN Department of Public Safety.
CITY OF ST. JOSEPH
RESOLUTION 2016-005
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT
BE IT RESOLVED that the City of St. Joseph enter into a grant agreement with the Minnesota
Department of Public Safety, for traffic safety projects during the period from November 16, 2015
through September 30, 2016.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the is hereby authorized to
execute such agreements and amendment as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the City
of St. Joseph and to be the fiscal agent and administer the grant.
I certify that the above resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of St. Joseph on March 7,
2016.
