PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: In the past,old equipment that is out of date or out of service and has been replaced
by new equipment,has been declared surplus property. Based on that declaration,departments have been able to
dispose of excess equipment.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:The police department has purchased 3 new Alco-Sensor FST PBTs(preliminary
breath testers)with forfeiture money to replace some of the old PBTs we have in the squads.With that purchase, I
now have 3 old PBTs that can be disposed of once they are declared surplus property.The 3 old PBTs are not worth
anything and are not worth keeping in storage to take up room. I would like to have the three following PBTs
declared surplus property:
- Alco-Sensor 4,serial number 028678
- Alco-Sensor 3,serial number 1079576
- Alco-Sensor 3,serial number 1090434
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: None
ATTACHMENTS: None
REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Declare the above 3 PBTs surplus property.
