, Minutes of ineeting held 26 June 2000
Meeting called to order by Lonrue Abbott at 6:41 pm.
Members present: Lonnie Abbott, John Walz, Bruce Berghorst, Jennifer Wirz, Marge
Lesnick
Members absent: Chuck Muske, Cory Ehlert
Approval of Agenda: Motion by Walz, seconded by Lesnick
*Added Cable TV update to "Chairman Comments" section
Approval of Minutes from 22 May 2000: Motion by Lesnick, seconded by Berghorst to
approve with changes:
*Changed "Leo Beuttner" to "city council"
Liaison Report: None
Chair Report: Next meeting will be in Centennial Park on Juiy 17, 2�0 at 6:30 pm.
Park Boaz�d budget wili be reviewed at the July 17 meeting.
Lonnie will verify with Chuck Muske his intentions regarding Park Board
membership.
- Lonxue thanked Jennifer for accepting the role as Park Board secretary.
Cable TV update: Bruce will narrate the parks video for eable
�ld Business: Grass seeding at Northland is in.
Cementing the hockey rink is tentatively set for the middle of July.
Phase 3 Northland: Marge has ordered the equipment for it. We will be
purchasing a climber, dinosaur, and digger.
Lonnie talked to Mike from City Maintenance to arrange the location and
installation of the volleyball court in Northland.
Cory was going to look into the signs = we'll hear from him another time.
Park rules need to be posted in all parks. This could be a priority item for next
year's budget.
Marge sent "thank yous" to Channel 3 and AmCon for the work and donations
to Klinefelter Park.
New Business: Park features for the cable commission need to be submitted to Bruce.
Resurfacing the parking area by the new concession stand is a bigger project
than we had realized. Lighting needs to be looked at, and the entire project

needs to be assessed for costs and feasibility. ~
Niarge spoke to Bob, who doesn't seem to need anything for the soccer fleld.
We tabled this discussion, however, until the� meeting, when we hope that
he can attend. (L�.��
Other. Summer recreation is going well. The participants seem to be learning and
having fun. The workers seem enthusiastic, and the kids are busy. Attendance
is strong.
Marge will bring copies of the budget for our next meeting.
