Minutes of ineeting held 20 November 2000
Meeting called to order by Lonnie Abbott at 7:02 pm.
Members present: Lonnie Abbott, John Walz, Marge Lesnick, Jennifer Wirz
Guests: Jim Graeve, Kyle Schneider
Members absent: Bruce Berghorst, Cory Ehlert
Approval of Agenda: Motion by Lesnick, seconded by Walz
Approval of Minutes from 16 October 2000: Motion by Lesnick, seconded by Walz
Liaison Report: No report
Chair Report: Jim Graeve spoke with us about the trail system and invited us to a
Healthy Community Partners meeting December 11, 2000 at 5:30 pm at the St.
Joseph Fire Hall. As a result of the community priorities survey and Town
Meeting held earlier in the fall, 125 respondents stated that parks and trails
were a priority for them, and 17 people signed up to help with projects. Their
main conversation was about joining the parks throughout the community
with a city-wide trail. Since the Park Board has already begun work on this,
Jim is helping volunteers connect with the Board. There is great potential for
the Park Board to tap into new human resources by sharing in this eeting.

Old Business: The sign for Northland is in and has been set up o� . W�e a�x�"e
still awaiting the bill.
New Business: We talked a bit more about the citywide trail layout and the possible
development of a trail from Klinefelter Park to 7th.
Lonxue will call Michael Doyle (363-1311) to see if he can advise us on which
grants to apply for (trail system). He will also inquire about applications.
Lonnie will present the trail ideas to the Healthy Community Partners meeting
on December 11. He will cover signage, budgeting, and future projects at this
meeting as well.
Bruce is still looking into a light for the sledding hill.
Other:Marge has attendants lined up for the ice rink!
The Board would still like to thank Clint and Kurt - we don't know if they have
received their certificates yet...
CSB is getting rid of some old hockey goals and we will "inherit" them.
Members: nlease bring vour list of Fam�,v Fun Dav donations to the
next meeting�.
