Minutes of ineeting held 20 August 2001
Meeting called to order by Lonnie Abbott at 7:03 pm. �
Members present: Lonnie Abbott, Kyle Schneider, Chuck Muske, Marge Lesnick, John
Walz, Jennifer Wirz .
Members absent: Bruce Bergh st

Approval of Agenda: Motion 'y Lesnick, seconded by Wirz
Approval of Minutes from 2 July 200L• (Lesnick, Abbott)
Chair Report: The City Council voted to approve expenditures for the skate ramp and
bench at the hockey rink. The ramp has been ordered. We can get a
comparable bench for less money, so it was agreed to pursue this option
(Abbott, Wirz).
The meeting to set the budget for 2002 hasn't happened yet. Lonnie will
� present to the Council on 22 August 200L �'��

There is a lot of activity at Northland with the replanting of trees and work on '
the lift station. -

Old Business: At some point, we need to look into the cost and feasibility of updating
and replacing lights and shields at the hockey rink. The timer for the lights is
not in yet.
New Business: `
The volleyball court will be set up soon in Northland.,
Marge will look into purchasing/planting some shrubs at Memorial Park.
Kyle provided several samples of rules from skate parks around the state.
Motion approved to adopt rules similar to Cold Spring's rules for use of skate
park. (Abbott,Walz). Lonnie and Kyle have the fmal copy.
Benches and picnic tables-previously ordered are in and will be installed soon.
Liaison Report: The City would like to oversee the Summer Recreadon program in
the future. The Board agrees that this would make more sense, and it was
decided unanimously that we would turn this over to the City with our blessing
and gratitude.
Lesnick made the motion to adjourn (secQnded by Walz) at 8:36 pm.
Next meeting: 17 September 2001 at 7:00 pm at City Hall
