RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO ENTER INTO A MASTER
SUBSCRIBER AGREEMENT WITH THE MINNESOTA JUDICIAL BRANCH FOR ACCESS
TO THE NEW MINNESOTA GOVERNMENT ACCESS (MGA) ELECTRONIC RECORDS
SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City of St. Cloud City Attorney's Office prosecutes misdemeanors and various
gross misdemeanors that occur within the jurisdiction of the City of St. Joseph's municipal limits, and;
WHEREAS, the City of St. Cloud City Attorney's Office frequently needs to access public as
well as confidential court records in order to enforce laws and follow statutory mandates, and to conduct
official business, and;
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Judicial Branch is now transitioning to a new electronic court
records system, "New Minnesota Government Access" (MGA) which will allow government agencies
remote access to public and confidential court records, and;
WHEREAS,in order to gain access to the MGA a resolution is needed authorizing the City
Attorney to sign a Master Subscriber Agreement with the Minnesota Judicial Branch to allow the St.
Cloud City Attorney's Office to access the MGA.
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ST.JOSEPH,MINNESOTA:
That the St. Cloud City Attorney on behalf of the City of St. Joseph is authorized to enter into a
Master Subscriber Agreement with the Minnesota Judicial branch for access to the New MGA.
