BOARD/COMMISSION/COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION:
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Randy Sabart previously presented the Council with some
options for lighting and provided samples and locations where they could be viewed.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Engineer is looking for direction as to which street
lights should be included for the Filed Street Project.

Good afternoon!
Below are a couple of parkway/trail and street lighting examples in the St. Cloud area for viewing by the city councilors...
- Not necessarily the same land use as considered for Field St.
- Not necessarily "good" or"bad" examples,just local examples.
In addition to the light fixture style, I would encourage the councilors to pay attention to the lighting levels and
fixture frequency in terms of their likes/dislikes.
In no particular order...
Pinecone Road, Sartell between Roberts Rd (Coborn's) and 15th St N (Celebration Lutheran Church)
- Note light styles and levels
- Note proximity of trail to the collector street (and in some cases the homes- particularly north of 7th St N

Killian Blvd and Minnesota Blvd-St. Cloud between 15th Ave SE (St. Benedict's Center) and 7th St SE
- Note light style

- Note lights are in the median (though we would encourage the light placement in the boulevard)
Westwood Parkway, St. Cloud between Ridgewood Rd and Aspen Lane
Waite Avenue, Waite Park N between 3rd St NE and Veteran's Drive
