As such,no one entity, institution or agency alone can achieve large-scale,substantive positive change. Rather, they require a collective impact approach, engaging partners across sectors, including those of education, public, private for-profit,and non-profit. At the Greater St.Cloud Development Corporation we use a collective impact model in fulfilling our mission: To lead economic development for the benefit of the Greater St.Cloud community. Upon our inception in 2011 we recognized that cross- sector partnerships and leader engagement were paramount to our ability to achieve Bob White our six strategic initiatives around talent, transportation, innovation, workplace well- Chair* being, business development and downtown St.Cloud. Retired CEO In reflecting on 2015,the significance of our partnerships is unmistakable. A review Wolters Kluwer Financial Services of our board and committee rosters reveals that 217 individuals have contributed to our initiatives in the past 15 months,a collective contribution of 8,061 volunteer hours. And,since our inception in 2011,209 companies and organizations in our greater St.Cloud region have made financial contributions to support the work of GSDC. A We have also expanded our geographic reach and influence through new partnerships, strengthening our business attraction opportunities and global presence. A few of these partners are the Metropolitan Airports Commission,MN Medical Manufacturing Partnership and the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Throughout this annual report you will see the many things we have accomplished with five staff and more than 200 executive volunteers. These accomplishments Patti Gartland represent the power of partnerships. They also reflect our regional culture of President community engagement. We are extremely fortunate to live and work in a community where the citizenry, organizations and businesses are generous in their Greater St. Cloud contributions of time, talent and treasure—and as a result we enjoy a very rich quality Development Corporation of life. We extend our heartfelt thanks to those of you who have supported and contributed to the work of GSDC since its inception and through 2015. The number of GSDC investors and partners continues to grow, and with it,our ability to influence our regional economy and communities in powerful and positive ways. 4 Board of Directors Bob White Dr.Earl Potter,III Rick Bauerly Greg Klugherz Craig Broman Chair* Vice Chair* Secretary*,Chair, Treasurer* Cbairpowntown Corps Retired CEO Wolters Kluwer President,St.Cloud State Well Being Corps CFO,CentraCare Health President,St.Cloud Hospital Financial Services University Managing Partner, Granite Equity Partners r Kathy Gaalswyk Brad Goskowicz Dave Gruenes Joyce Helens Dr.Michael Hemesath Director* Director,Chair Director*Chair Director Director President,Initiative Innovation Corps Business Corps President,St.CloudTecbnical President,Saint Jobn's Foundation CEO,Microbiologics CEO,Stearns Electric and Community College University r Dr.Mary Hinton Dr.Kenneth Holmen Marty Moran Brian Myres Paul Pfeiffer Director Director Director*Chair Director*Chair Director President,College of CEO,Centra Care Health Talent Corps Transportation Corps CFO,ATS Saint Benedict CEO,Clear Patb CEO,Myres Consulting +i+ - P y Heather Pieper-Olson Tom Rickers Tom Schlough John Torgerson Tom Velin Director,Chair Director,Chair Director Director Director Marketing Committee Finance Committee Retired CEO, COO,Bernick's CFO,Coborn's Associate Vice President, CEO,Bremer Bank Park Industries College of Saint Benedict *denotes Governance Committee 5 Community & Organization Highlights Regional GDP St.Cloud MSA Unemployment Rate (YrlyAvg) (1n millions) Source.-DEED Updated:jan 2016 Source:US.Department of Commerce Up atedjan2016 7% 6.5%6.5°/a $10,000 2% 6% 6.5%5.6% 5.1%5.0% $8,000 , 5% 4.2%4.1% $6,000 4% 2.9%3.2% $4,000 3% 2% $2,000 1% $0 0% 0% 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 S)60-9 ,S]6,6 ,f)),, ,S)190 19 ,S)9,8 ■St Cloud MSA Minnesota State and Regional GDP (MSA only) Source:US.Department of Commerce GSDC Revenue Updated.-Jan 2016 Data reflects real versus current GDP Source:GSDC UpaatedJan2016 4% 3% $1,500,000 2% $1,000,000 1% 0% $500,000 2011 2012 2013 2014 $0 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 —St.Cloud MSAYryl%Increase —MN Yryl%Increase 62986483089 .9SR6,9 ,615 6 $823,625 Investor contributions y for 2015 209 _ Investors and contributors since inception 108 lie Number of GSDC Corporate and Advocate Investors 41 1 4 1 F E $590,315 Value of earned media in 2015 $2,101,366 Value of earned ti media since 2011 8,061 Volunteer executive engagement hours in past ` 15 mos. +k+ Wo Metrics include 2015 through March 31,2016.
