Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the St. Joseph City Council met in special session on Thursday
April 20, 2016 at 5:00 PM in the St. Joseph City Hall.
City Council Members Present: Mayor Rick Schultz. Council Members Dale Wick, Bob Loso, Matt
Killam, Renee Symanietz. Absent: Matt Kiilam. Administrator Judy Weyrens.
City Representatives Present: Finance Director Lori Bartlett, Community Development Director Therese
Haffner
Others Present: Jason Aarsvold, Brian Kelm, Country Manor, 7om Opatz, Larry Hosch, Gary Osberg,
Doug Danielson
Purchase Aareement—City Hall: Schultz reminded the Councii that at the last Council meeting, the
Council agreed to add the purchas�agreement for the City Hall to the agenda, if the document was ready
for approval. Weyrens stated that she has received the final purchase agreement between the City of
St. Joseph and Collegeville Credit Union for the purchase of the property on College Avenue. She stated
that the purchase agreement includes the sale price of$ 510,000 with a closing date of July 1, 2016. The
agreement afso includes a lease agreement whereby the City will lease the property from July 1, 2016
until the new government center is ready for occupancy, anticipated in February 2017. The will agree to
pay a lease payment of$ 2,500 per month and if the Credit Union finds a tenant for office space before
the Government Center is comp�ete, the City will relocate administration in the short term.
Loso made a motion to authorize execution of the purchase agreement for the property located at
25 Gollege Avenue North tboth parcels) between the City of St.Joseph and the Collegeville Credit
Union. The motion was seconded by Symanietr and passed unanimously.
