AGENDA ITEM: Liquor License—Requested Action: Authorize a 3.2 Liquor
License and Cigarette License to Kwik Trip for 200 2nd Ave NW.

BOARD/COMMISSION/COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: The Planning Commission
recommended the Council issue a special use permit to Kwik Trip to construct a gas and convenience
store at the former El Paso site.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: The City Council accepted the recommendation of the Planning
Commission and issued the Special Use Permit to Kwik Trip to construct a gas and convenience store.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Kwik Trip has made application to sell 3.2 Liquor and
Cigarettes. Both of these licenses are issued on a calendar basis and require a background check. The
Police Chief has recommended approval of licenses as requested.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: $ 94.00
ATTACHMENTS: Request for Council Action
REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Issue the requested licenses for the period August 1, 2016 to
December 31, 2016.
