PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Council adopted the 2016 fee schedule on December 7, 2015.
Ordinance drafts were reviewed along with proposed fees.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
SQUAD/POLICE SERVICES REIMBURSEMENT:
Upon review of the fee schedule related to administrative fees and ordinances, a separate fee is
requested to reimburse the City for services related to police and squad usage. Police labor time is
covered under the current labor rate of$58 per hour, minimum one hour. Staff is recommending a rate
for squad usage to be$100 per squad per hour, minimum one hour. This rate will cover overhead,
depreciation and fuel related to the squad usage.
ADMINISTRATIVE FEE—EASEMENT PERMIT:
The ordinance review and recodification identified fees for planning and zoning issues. One such request
is a simple easement permit that would be reviewed and approved by staff in accordance with ordinances.
The Ordinance includes language already references a fee, we have just not established one. Fees on the
fee schedule pertain to more complicated issues that would go before the planning commission and city
council. Staff recommends the establishment of an Easement Permit at a rate of$100 as described in
ordinances.
