BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Back in 2013,we wrote and received an AFG grant and were able to
update our SCBA's. We purchased 16 new packs, 32 tanks, and 30 face pieces. NFPA standard states
that the Air Tanks must be replaced every 10 years. In order to avoid large spikes in the budget,the fire
chief set up a schedule to purchase 8 new tanks every 3 years.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:8 new tanks @ $1,527.00 each =$12,216.00
