PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Approved applying for a MN OSHA grant.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: MN OSHA awards safety grants bi-monthly basis depending
upon available grant funds. The City submitted a matching grant request to offset the costs of adding
bullet proof windows/glass/panels for the police and administration entrances, as well as along the
council dais in the new Government Center. The City requested up go$10,000 matching grant; MN
OSHA is able to award up to $7,000 with grant funds they have available.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: $7,000 matching grant
