PREVIOUS EDA ACTION: In September the EDA discussed reproducing the Chamber cartoon style
map and encouraged staff to seek partners with the Chamber, CSB and SJU.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Staff met with the Chamber Executive Committee to propose the
concept of partnering with the City to recreate the cartoon style map and add a mobile version. The Executive
Committee had concerns as to the benefits of the map to the members and if other alternatives are available.
They connected staff with a company entitled Cohlab which is a digital marketing system.
Staff met with Cohlab to discuss how they could assist the City and it is an exciting opportunity. They can
assist with mobile mapping and paper mapping and have some very creative ideas. They will be coming to your
December meeting to present their ideas. We are considering inviting the Chamber Executive Committee to the
meeting as well and perhaps representatives from CSB and SJU. More information will be presented at the
meeting.
