The purpose of the Joint City/Township Meeting is to continue the discussion of the land use
management for the St. Joseph Orderly Annexation Area. No decisions will be made at this
meeting.
Note: The meeting material includes the comments from the last work session where it was
decided to use Stearns County Ordinance #439 as a stand-alone, static document. Therefore the
meeting material includes two documents:
1. Stearns County Ordinance as adopted by the County, with stricken areas for was is
proposed be taken out and underlined areas of what is proposed to be added.
Throughout the document there are highlighted areas which require additional
discussion between the two boards.
2. The second document is the same as document one with all the suggestions accepted
so that it is easier to read the provisions.
Note: Nothing is final and this is not a public hearing, the document is still in draft mode.
At the public hearing in April, it was originally intended to conduct a public hearing on May 25,
2017, but both Township and City were not ready to move to the next step. When the Township
and City are finished with the review a new public hearing will be conducted and hearing notices
will be mailed.
