HomeMy WebLinkAbout[04f] Liquor Licenses Council Agenda Item 4f MEETING DATE: June 19, 2017 AGENDA ITEM: Liquor Licenses – Requested Action: Authorize the Mayor and Administrator to execute the Liquor Licenses as requested. SUBMITTED BY: Administration PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Annually the City Council must review and approve the liquor licenses. The intoxicating licenses are issued for July 1 to June 30. The license holder must complete an application and the Police Chief and Administrator are required to sign the applications verifying the information. Once the Council approves the license it is then forwarded to Minnesota Alcohol and Gambling Control and they review the license as well. At this time the Council is considering the following types of licenses: On-Sale Intoxicating, Off-Sale Intoxicating, Wine and Club. As you may recall the malt liquor licenses are issued in December of each year with a term beginning January 1 and ending December 31. At the same time as the malt liquor licenses, the cigarette and amusement licenses are considered. ATTACHMENTS: REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Authorize the Mayor and Administrator to execute the On/Off Sale Intoxicating Licenses, Wine Licenses and Club License as requested by the license holders.
