AGENDA ITEM: Parking Lot
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: At our meeting back in May, we discussed our Parking Lot and how it is
starting to show it’s age (1997) and is breaking up in different areas. The Fire Board has discussed this a
little in the past on what we would like to do. It’s has been brought up about getting on board with the
City on one of their upcoming road projects to replace it. The cost to replace to entire lot came back at
just short of $45,000.00. I had Erickson Asphalt come in and look at it and give me a bid to repair the
areas he felt needed it. He found 86 areas that he recommends repairing. This would be a 5’ x 7’ patch
per area and a cost of $100.00 per patch or a total of $8,600.00 total.
NOTE: The cost of $ 45,000 was to complete the project as a stand along project. The City Engineer is
working on calculating the cost of the parking lot using the pricing of the alley project. This information
will be available at the meeting.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: $8,600.00 - $ 45,000.00

Erickson Asphalt Services agrees to furnish all materials for the work specified below on premises located at:

We hereby submit specifications and estimates for:
INFRARED PATCHING
Repair potholes and damaged asphalt using the infrared method of asphalt pavement patching. Proposed repair of damaged areas are 86 infrared
patches. These are/will be marked with fluorescent marking paint. (Each patch repairs approx. 5’ x 7’) The infrared process includes: Clean the areas of
all dirt and debris. Heat the asphalt to a working temperature of 300°F. Rake heated area and remove any oxidized deteriorated asphalt. Add new
asphalt and compact with a vibratory roller. Clean up all job related debris.
$8,600.00
Return Trip Charges $500.00/each Cleaning Charge (if applicable) $250.00 Weekend Charge $500.00/per day
Terms: 1/3 down, 1/3 to base crew, remainder due upon completion of job. Any unpaid balance will accrue at 1.5% per month.

Note: 1) Additional work can be done at your request, at an additional charge, while the crew is on site if time and materials are available. 2) One year warranty on workmanship and
materials. Warranty
shall not apply to cracks, drainage with less than 2% slope or oil spots. 3) Traffic control on city streets not included unless specifically called out on this contract. 4) All proposals
subject to approval
of management. 5) Prices in this proposal are good fro 30 days from date shown above.
