AGENDA ITEM: AED Replacement
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Currently we have 4 AED’s in our trucks. One of the oldest ones has
stopped working and we checked into getting it repaired. However because of the age, it is not cost
affective and we are going to need to replace it with a new one. The cost of a new one is $1,700. The
department is out looking for donations or grants to pay for this but would like to have the fire board
approve to purchase this if we are not able to come up with the funding .
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: $1,700 out of the Medical Budget Line
ATTACHMENTS: No
REQUESTED ACTION: Get the Fire Boards approval to purchase a replacement AED if we cannot find
funding.
