AGENDA ITEM: Tablets for Trucks
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: With the “I Am Responding” system up and running with the Stearns
County Dispatch now, I would like to look at putting some kind of tablet, I-pad, or laptop in the trucks.
These would allow the dispatch to send information to the trucks for mapping to our emergency calls
and also allow us to be able to find more information about an address that we are responding to.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: Approximately $ 400 per IPAD and the monthly WIFI
ATTACHMENTS: No
REQUESTED ACTION: Discussion on whether this equipment should be added.
