AGENDA ITEM: Parking Lot Update
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Fire Board Approved to have the parking lot redone do to its age
and that it was falling apart. The bid was for$45,000 and the board agreed to it up to$50,000.
However after we removed the old tar we found out that the base that was used back in 1997 was not
up to par and is probably one of the reasons the parking lot was falling apart. So we need to have the
old base hauled out and new base hauled in. We also had to upgrade the sidewalks to meet the ADA
requirements. This added$14,450.00 to the original bid of$45,000 to bring the total to$59,450.

REQUESTED ACTION: Have the Fire Board approve the recommendations of Officers made by the Fire
Departments Investigating committee
