BACKGROUND INFORMATION: After 21 years of service,Justin Honer Retired from the St.Joseph Fire
Department on October 17`h 2017
Bill Lowell also turned in his letter of retirement. His last day will be December 315t, 2017 Bill will have
served the the St.Joseph Fire Department for 32+years.
With those 2 retirements,we will be down 2 members. We do still have 1 on the list from our last hiring
process that I would like to move forward with. His name is Blake Schwagel. He just moved into our
area this past summer. He is currently a fire fighter for the City of St. Cloud and has all of his classes
done,so the only cost to hire him would be the physical and new gear. I would like to start Blake
January 9th, 2018. As for the other opening, I would like to hold off the hiring until I have at least 2
members who need to go through classes.
