Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning Commission for the City of St. Joseph met in special
session on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 4:45 PM in the St. Joseph City Hall.
Planninq Commission Members Present: Chair Gina Dullinger, Commissioners, Daryl Schaefer, Chad
Hausmann, Steve Olson Community Development Director Therese Haffner
Members Absent: Matt Johnson
Others Present: City Administrator Judy Weyrens, Cory Ehlert, Joe Prostrollo
Approval of the Aqenda: Schaefer made a motion to approve the agenda as presented.The motion
was seconded by Hausmann and passed unanimously by those present.
Public Hearina, CUP Amendment: Haffner stated Cory Ehlert, property owner of 29 MN St E, has
requested an amendment to the Conditional Use Permit for his Bed and Breakfast. The approved plan
included new hardie board panel siding, brick,and accent siding.The proposal is to change the type of
siding on the structure from the approved hardie board to the existing wood siding.The brick and accent
siding would remain.The property is located in the B1 Central Business District and wood is a permitted
material in the B1 District.
Dullinger opened the public hearing. As no one present wished to speak, Duflinger closed the public
hearing.
Hausmann made a motion to approve the amendment to the CUP related to exterior material
allowing wood siding, brick and accent siding for the B�B at 29 MN ST E.The motion was
seconded by Schaefer and passed unanimously by those present.
Adlourn: As all agenda items were completed, Dullinger adjourned the meeting at 4:50PM.
