Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council for the City of St. Joseph met in special session
on Monday, Thursday December 28, 2017 at 7:30 AM at the St. Joseph Government Center.
Members Present: Mayor Rick Schultz, Councilors Dale Wick, Troy Goracke, Matt Killam. Administrator
Judy Weyrens.
Members Absent: Bob Loso
Schultz made a motion to close the meeting pursuant to MN Statute 13D.03 to discuss labor
strategy. The motion was seconded by Wick and passed unanimously by those present.
Wick made a motion to open the closed session at 7:40; seconded by Goracke and passed
unanimously by those present.
AFSCME Labor Agreement: Wick made a motion authorizing the Mayor and Administrator to
execute the Labor Agreement between the City of St. Joseph and AFSCME Council 65 for the
contract period January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2019. Approval for execution is contingent
upon AFSCME executing the contract and memorandum of Understanding. The motion was
seconded by Goracke and passed unanimously by those present.
As the agenda was completed, the meeting was adjourned by consensus.
