AGENDA ITEM: DNR Grant
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Each year the Minnesota DNR has a Rural Fire Department
Grant that they send to all fire departments. Last year we were unable to receive a grant for Pagers and
fire Hose. This is a 50/50 grant and would like to write for 2 new pagers and additional fire hose to
replace some of our old hose that is not passing the annual test
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: $2,500.00 (which is half of the estimated cost)
ATTACHMENTS: No
REQUESTED ACTION: Have the Fire Board approve to write a grant to the DNR for this
equipment.
