Call to Order: 6:00 p.m. 2. Approval of Minutes: Approved 3. Approval of Agenda: Approved 4. Public Input: Amy B. Lindstrom, a member of the community, attended the meeting. She wanted to thank us for inviting the public to attend the Input Meeting. John directed her to the website when she had questions about locations of parks and trails. She suggested that an opportunity for individuals to donate to the dog park could be made when paying for a dog license. 5. Treasurers Report: Lori Bartlett attended to report on the summary treasurer’s report. While the numbers may reflect the 2017 balance, the funds show a balance of just under $121,000. This amount includes $25,000 for the Dog Park and $50,171 for East Park. The treasurer’s report was approved. 6. Liaison Reports: A. Terry Thene: Terry reported vandalism at the Wobegon Shelter bathrooms. Since this has been an ongoing issue at several of the parks, John suggested looking into the cost of security cameras. Terry is going to keep track of and report to the Board ongoing repair costs. B. Mayor Schultz: APO delivered a 25 year plan-very similar to the Master Plan. Kwik Trip had their Grand Opening. 7. Old Business: A. Summer Rec 2018 District 742 Community Ed. John attended the meeting with District 742. No progress was made in starting the program for youth activities. The suggestion was made that we hire our own individual to run the program. Mayor Schultz recommended that we compose a proposal. B. East Park 2018 Plan: 1. Renaming: John suggested that we add this option to the survey. 2. Review of Survey Questions: Several items were removed from the survey. Those items were; RV camping sites, Dog Park, sport courts, sport fields, soccer, La Cross, camping and ice skating. Additions were; a nature observation platform, biking and disc golf. We changed the ‘rustic camping’ to one site for canoe camping. We would like the survey to include the opportunity to suggest a new name for the park. 3. Review of Public Input Open House: All data will be gathered when surveys are complete. C. Playground Equipment Quotes for Millstream: Pending more information regarding installation, wood chips and border, the Board liked the “Brook’s Towers” design. Terry suggested we wait a year to make the purchase. We will discuss this at the next meeting. D. Other Old Business: None. 8. New Business: A. Wobegon Trail Updates: None. B. Other New Business: None. 9. Adjournment: 7:08 The April meeting will be held at the Government Center, rather than Centennial Park.
