Pursuant to due call and notice thereof,the City Council for the City of St. Joseph met in special session
on Monday, May 17, 2018 at 5:30 PM at the St. Joseph Government Center, opening with the pledge of
allegiance.
Members Present: Mayor Rick Schultz, Councilors Dale Wick, Troy Goracke, Bob Loso. Administrator
Judy Weyrens.
Others Present: Mike Knaak,Anne Buckvold, Bob Ringstrom, James Eiynck, Jon Bruns, Brian Theisen,
Amber Wiese, Aaron Lundblad, Dennis Dunphy.
Members of the City Council met with the following candidates who submitted an application to fill the
vacant Council seat: Anne Buckvold, Bob Ringstrom, James Eiynck, Jon Bruns, Brian Theisen, Amber
Wiese, Aaron Lundblad, and Dennis Dunphy.
By consensus the top four candidates included Jon Bruns, Anne Buckvold, Bob Ringstorm, and James
Eiynck. The Council indicated that all the candidates interviewed at this meeting would be an asset to the
community; however, since only seat is open Loso made a motion to appoint Anne Buckvold to fill
the Council seat open due to the resignation of Matt Killam. The appointment will begin on June
4, 2018 extending through the end of his term.
Adiourn: The meeting was adjourned by consensus at 7:00 PM.
