BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The current Ladder truck was purchased back in 2001 at a cost of
$365,000. The truck is scheduled for replacement after 20 years which would put it at 2021. The
estimated design for a truck like this could be up to a year followed by 12-18 months to build. This is
being brought up to the board for discussion to see if and when we would like to start this process. The
estimated cost of a new ladder truck could be from$800,000-$1,000,000 depending on how big the
department feels we need to get in order to protect our area. The current ladder would either be
traded in or sold to help offset some of the cost.
