AGENDA ITEM: Unit#3,Grass Rig
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The current Grass Rig Truck was purchased back in 1997,at a cost of
$55,000. It has had some issues over the last few years. The rear end went out 3 years ago which we
ended up putting a used rear end in because they don't' make that one anymore. The pump failed and
was replaced. The brakes have had multiple issues with sticking.
We would like to see if we could write an AFG Grant to pay for a new Grass Rig. Back in 2006 we were
able to purchase the Personnel Hauler with the Afg grant and in 2012 we purchased 16 new Air packs
with 32 bottles

REQUESTED ACTION: Get the Fire Boards approval to start the process of looking into getting a grant
writer to help with the AFG Grant.
