Subject: Buckthorn removal quote
Terry-
Attached are three separate maps outlining the approximate locations where the buckthorn/honeysuckle removal will take place. The
buckthorn/honeysuckle will be mowed where accessible and hand cut around reserve trees and inaccessible areas. Cut stems will be treated
with herbicide to prevent re-sprouting. In a few select areas, where the bank is very steep the buckthorn will be treated with herbicide at the
base of the stem and left in place.
Siberian elms will be removed within the shelterbelt tree rows, these areas are not shown on the maps but is included in the below quote. The
Siberian elms will be cut and burned onsite this winter when adequate snow cover is present.
Quote for Siberian elm removal/burning and buckthorn mowing/cutting and stump treatment:
$24,853
Follow-up foliar treatment of buckthorn seedlings to be completed fall of 2019:
$5,000
Thank you and please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Brad Vierkant
