HomeMy WebLinkAbout[04e] Drainage/Utility Easement Council Agenda Item PM E� CITY OF ST.JOSEPH MEETING DATE: December 3, 2018 AGENDA ITEM: Drainage&Utility Easement—Buettner Business Park SUBMITTED BY: Community Development BOARD/COMMISSION/COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of Drainage and Utility Easement agreement accepting the easement for Lot 1,Block 1,Buettner Business Park as proposed. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: In 1999,the City Council approved the fmal plat of Buettner Business Park. In 2008,the City Council approved a lot split for Lot 1,Block 1,which is void since it was not recorded with Stearns County. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Secured Earning&Warranty LLC owns the subject property, which located on the southwest corner lot of CR 133 and 15th Ave.NE(lot 1,block 1).The property and area is within an industrial park. The parcel is 8.31+/-acres and the owner has proposed to subdivide into two lots. Today,the City's Subdivision Ordinance allows for administrative review and approval of such a lot split.Drainage and utility easements are required along property lines to provide for lot drainage and placement of utilities.The typical easement would be 6 feet(12 feet total)along the interior boundary lines. The lot split does not require City Council approval but approval of the easement agreement is before the City Council for action.
