and Administrator to execute Resolution 2019-007 approving summary publication of an amendment to
Ordinance 502.62 and Resolution 2019-010 approving summary publication of Ordinance 502.25

BOARD/COMMISSION/COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION:
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: The City Council approved the amendments to Ordinance 502.62
and 502.25 on February 19,2019.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Summary publication requires a super majority vote and since
only three of five members were present,the resolutions need to be reconsidered.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUMMARY PUBLICATION
ORDINANCE 502-ZONING ORDINANCE
RECITALS:
WHEREAS, on February 19,2019,the City Council for the City of St.Joseph amended the text
to Ordinance 502—Zoning Ordinance, Section 502.62,entitled"LI-Light Industrial District; and
WHEREAS,the City of St. Joseph desires to publish the Ordinance by Summary Publication; and
WHEREAS,the amendments include adding breweries, microbreweries,and distilleries as
permitted uses and asphalt or concrete plants/mixing facility as interim uses.
WHEREAS,the full text of the amended Ordinance is available at the City Offices, 75 Callaway
Street East or on the City website,www.cityofstjoseph.com.
THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED:
1. The City Council has reviewed the proposed Summary Publication and finds that the
summary of the Ordinance clearly informs the public of the intent and effect of the
Ordinance.
2. The City of St. Joseph directs the City Administrator to publish the Ordinance by
Summary Publication.

RESOLUTION 2019-010
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUMMARY PUBLICATION
ZONING ORDINANCE 502.25
WHEREAS, On February 19,2019,the City Council for the City of St. Joseph approved an
Ordinance establishing the zoning of properties recently annexed into the City of St.Joseph in
Sections 1, 2, 3,4, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 22, Township 124, Range 029, St. Joseph, Minnesota to
RR-Rural Residential District for properties previously zoned Urban Expansion,and Residential R-5,
B-2 Highway Business District for properties previously zoned Commercial, and LI-Light Industrial
District for properties previously zoned Industrial.
WHEREAS, a copy of the Ordinance is available at the City Offices, 75 Callaway Street East
or on the City website,www.cityofstjoseph.com.
