BOARD/COMMISSION/COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION:
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: The City Council has previously approved outdoor requests from the La
Playette and the events have occurred without incident.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The La Playette has applied for an outdoor event on September 7, 2019
from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Because the music ends by 10PM, a public hearing is not required. The
application has been reviewed by the Police Chief with the following recommendations: perimeter
fencing; hiring of 1 off-duty officer; music will end by 10 PM and the grounds to be cleaned no later than
8:00 AM September 8, 2019.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: La Playette is responsible for the wages of the officers

with the conditions identified by the Police Chief for an event to be held on September 7, 2019 at the La
Playette.
